Teeth have always been in my destiny. As a young teenager, I remember when the original Top Gun movie came out and all my friends were dazzled by Tom Cruise. However, I simply could not overlook his asymmetric, crooked smile. I knew I wanted to do something to “fix” Tom Cruise.

Even at that young age I could recognize my instinctive focus on a person’s smile. The moment I knew I had found my calling was when I was 16 years old, a sophomore in high school with braces. I was amazed by the transformative effects of having a smile I was proud of. It boosted my self-confidence and allowed the brightest, best parts of my personality to shine.

After earning my Bachelor of Science degree with honors at the University of
Toronto, I attended the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School, graduating as a general dentist amongst the top of the Dean’s List.

My passion was confirmed when I went on to pursue a Master of Science degree from St. Louis University School of Orthodontics. While every orthodontist has completed dental school, only 6% of dentists are accepted and successfully pursue advanced training as an orthodontist.

I was single-minded and completely focused on my specialty training; and loved everything I was learning in residency.

I graduated as president of my residency class, had my orthodontic research on molar distalization appliances published in the World Journal of Orthodontics, and came away with friendships that have lasted for decades.

I now direct my relentless pursuit of excellence and knowledge towards ensuring the most skilled, successful treatment for my patients, who I care for deeply. I go to my practice each day with a grateful heart, for the privilege my patients have given me in helping them achieve healthy, attractive smiles that reflect the best parts of themselves!
